The frog

I wrote this with someone and we both took
turns writing words and it was fun so you should try it sometime - Marvelous's wise words

The Frog

There once was a frog named Frisk. He enjoyed playing with his buddy, which was a killer frogger snake. One day Killer frogger snake ate a frog so Frisk was scared half to death. "A betrayal to Froggy kind!" he screeched.Then Frisk started to hop as fast as he could hop with out saying good bye to killer frogger snake. Killer frogger snake was furious. "I will hunt that pesky frog Frisk down until my bones crack even if I don't have any bones." he thought vicously. SO then killer frogger snake kept to his word and searched for that frog every day and every night,till one day he saw that frog hopping by. Frisk gave a terrified squeal and leaped out of sight. Killer frogger snake darted as fast as his legs (even though i don't have any, he thought bitterly) could carry him. He was catching up to Frisk. Then he leaped on him, (you might not want to hear the rest of the story, but if you do read on) So then, killer frogger snake burst into to crocodile tears. "Why did you leave me?" he sobbed. "all alone??? WHY??? ALONE! IN THE DARK!" Frisk looked at him in disbelief. "Hahahahahaha! What do you think?" he put on a look that clearly said,'i thought that was obvious' but then said, "You betrayed froggy kind! I AM A FROG!!!" Killer frogger snaked stared. "You're a frog?" he whispered. "Get away from me! I might eat you!!!" then Killer frogger snake said softer and more gently,"I thought you were a snake! Like me! Besides, snakes have to eat too you know! You eat flies! They probably think you betrayed the fly's!" Frisk replied thoughtfully, "I never thought about that."
The two enimies became friends again. They never ate frogs or flies again. They just ate leaves. Two and a half years and a day later, Killer Frogger Snake said worriedly, "What if we are betraying leaf kind?"

Birthday song

A birthday song for nine year olds to be I made up.

(made especially for my sister)

On this day full of tasty sweets,
Presents, surprises and full of treats,
I know you will get all the yummy eats.
You might get a toy or a soft touque,
Don't eat to much candy or you will puke.
So how old are you? Your turning nine?
Oh, stop being so modest, that's just divine.
I wish this day you'll get a billion bucks!
As long as I don't have to pay...

Flamingos

Flamingos are a type of bird. They live in the Eastern and Western hemisphere.

They eat Brine shrimp and can be as tall as an adult or as small as a five-six year
old. When first born flamingos are gray. They get pinker as they grow older.
Light colored flamingos are unhealthy while more colorful flamingos are healthy.
Flamingos stand on one leg. People have not yet discovered why. One suggestion is
that by tucking a leg under the body saves body heat. Another suggestion is that
when they do this it keeps both legs from being in the water, which is thought to
save energy.

The Sun

What is the Sun?

The sun is a star. Made up from gases it helps us keep warm, grow food, and live.

Compared to other stars, the sun is not very big, but looks the biggest and is the most important star to us.

The sun looks bigger than the other stars because it’s much closer to us. The sun is about 93,000,000 miles (150 million kilometers) away from Earth.

What is the sun made up of?

The sun (and other stars) is made of different gases and layers. The four distinct layers are photosphere, (the outside,) convection zone, radiation zone, and the core (center). The photosphere of the sun is about 10,000 °F (5500°C) while the core is about 27,000,000 °F (15,000,000 °C).

A stars life

This is how the sun (and other stars) started.

Gravity forced a bunch of nebula, (dust, hydrogen, and plasma) together. The center of the nebula formed a hot and tight ball. Soon it got hot enough to shine. That nebula’s extra dust and gas circled around the ball. It may have created planets or moons like our solar system. Scientists think the sun has been alive for 4.5 billion years and will live for 5 billion more. Once the star burns up all it’s hydrogen it will turn into a red giant (500 hundred times normal size) then a white dwarf, then it will die.

Interesting facts

· If the sun was an empty container more than a million earths could fit in it!

· If all the asteroids, planets, meteoroids, dust and comets were put together they would not equal even 1% of the sun.

The story of William Tell

William Tell lived in a small town in Switzerland. The emperor of Austria made the people of Switzerland pay heavy taxes. William was angry and disrespected the emperor. He didn’t try to keep his hatred towards the emperor a secret. His words and boldness helped the people of Switzerland. His braveness and boldness of speaking out scared the emperor and his soldiers.

One day soldiers marched into the town center and pounded a tall stick with a hat on it into the ground.

One soldier declared, “This hat represents the emperor. Everyone who passes it must bow to it.”

Rather than bow to it, most people stayed away from the hat sitting on the stick. But William Tell didn’t stay away from it, though he didn’t bow to it.

He strutted boldly past it! The soldiers posted to watch the stick and the hat grabbed him and took him to the governor. “I hear you’re a good marksman,” the governor told William after the soldiers repeated what he had done. “The only way you can be free is to shoot this apple with your arrow.” William was relieved. This wouldn’t be so hard. “But,” the governor added, staring into the distance, “the apple will be placed on your son’s head.”

William immediately declined. “I will not put my son in danger, even for my life.”

The governor replied, “Do it, or you both will die.”

William went home, got his son, two arrows, and came back. “Put you son in front of that tree,” commanded the governor, nodding his head to the nearest tree.

“Hold still,” William said to his son Walter.

“Father, you can do it. I’m not afraid,” Walter replied.

Nobody breathed as William aimed more carefully than he ever had before. Sooner than he expected to let go, he released his arrow to see it pierce the apple on Walter’s head. William let out a sigh of relief.

“Before I let you go, answer this one question.” The governor asked, “Why did you bring two arrows instead of one?”

William Tell answered, “If I missed the apple and hurt my son, the extra arrow would go through your heart.”

Bear stuck on bridge

The Naughty Dog

There was a dog in our neighborhood,

Who didn't do what he new he should.
The kids were mad 'cause he dug up grass,
stole their balls and left out trash.
The dog would bark and growl and bite,
and scare people away with all his might.
The kids took this matter into their hands
And built and army and mapped out plans.
For weapons they grabbed rocks and sticks
And learned how to do karate kicks.
The kids marched right down the street,
The dog saw them and knew he was beat.
He suddenly felt what he had done was not good,
And he had not done what he knew he should.
He was very upset and sad,
For he knew what he'd done had been bad.
He said he was sorry and he wouldn't be bad,
And he very sorry and very sad.
And since that day the dog has been good,
Decided to be nice and did what he should.
The kids were glad he fixed the grass,
gave them back their ball and picked up trash.
He was a very nice and fun,
And now good bye the end, all is done.
